Claus Gramckow was appointed Acting Representative of the Transatlantic Dialogue Program of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Washington, D.C., in February of 2005. He is also President of his own company, the Hanseatic Institute Inc., a Consulting and Public Affairs Company in Arlington, VA, which he founded in January 1999. Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Gramckow worked as program director at the transatlantic dialogue program of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Washington D.C. between 1990 and 1998. Since 1990 he has been the Representative for the German-American Council of State Legislators Partnership of Parliaments, along with the Initiative Berlin-USA in the United States. Claus Gramckow is a frequent guest on Bloomberg TV Germany. In 1986 he received the German Marshal Fund Congressional Fellowship of the American Political Science Association, and worked for three years as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives. He received his M.A. in political science from the University of Hamburg, Germany.

Susan Schneider joined the TAD in January 2010 as the Foundation’s Program Officer. She is a German national, but has lived and studied in China, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Cuba, Belgium and the USA. Susan obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Spanish as well as her Master’s degree in International Politics with a focus on the European Union and Transatlantic Relations from American University, Washington, D.C. Susan has interned for the Center for Democracy in the Americas, the German Embassy in the Republic of Korea and for a Consultancy in Brussels. She speaks English, Spanish and French.

Katrin Eloseily joined the FNF in Washington, D.C. in May 2000 as the Foundation's Finance Officer. Previously, she worked as an International Accounts Executive for Zeiss Humphrey Systems in Dublin, CA. Katrin received her Diploma in Journalism (Minor in Míddle Eastern Studies) from the University of Leipzig, Germany in 1994 and her Master of Science in Journalism from Ohio University in 1997. At the Foundation's office in Washington, D.C. she is responsible for all daily operations, overall expense management and cash requirements, preparing monthly financial statements for the head office in Germany, coordinating and setting up travels for international visitors to Germany ort he U.S., as well as organizing complex local and international conferences, workshops and studytours.
